This year the 11th Annual Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show will continue to be Chicagoland’s premier family friendly public safety event. The show is dedicated to the men and women who keep us safe and the vehicles they use to do the job. We’re the Midwest’s largest gathering of publicly and privately owned emergency vehicles with over 200 fire engines, police cars, ambulances, emergency management and military vehicles on display. Generous participation by public safety agencies including the North Aurora Fire and Police Departments and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office allows the public to safely witness amazing real-life situations. Demonstrations include roll-over semi-truck vs. vehicle crashes needing heavy duty extrication and medevac helicopter response, S.W.A.T. team high-risk entry maneuvers, and an emergency vehicle obstacle course conducted by the editor of Law and Order magazine. Children’s activities include fire trucks rides, water fights, and fire safety displays. In keeping with our public safety theme, vendors offer related collectibles and memorabilia, and food and drinks.
