CBS2 Chicago traffic reporter Kris Habermehl and Chopper 2 spent the entire day with us along with his pilot Rita. On weekdays Kris covers Chicagoland from the air during both the early morning hours and again late afternoons. His insight into public safety procedures is the key to his reports. He also controls the externally mounted video camera with the precision of a fighter pilot. Kris is indeed "always on" for CBS2 News, where police, fire, and emergency workers from the farthest reaches of Chicagoland can be seen doing what they do best. The DuPage County Sheriff's Office rolled E.R.N.I.E. in to join us. IL State Police Dist. 15 demonstrated the positive effects of seatbelt usage with their rollover crash simulator. They also had one of their seven new Dodge Charger police car test vehicles on display along with a Photo Radar Enforcement Van.
